Hi. I’m Meg. You probably follow me on Twitter (at least I’m assuming that’s how you found this). I’m 28 years old and for fun, I follow a band around the country.
I should probably state in this introduction that I never set out to do this, and to be honest to this day I don’t know how I ended up doing this. When I saw FVK for the first time on the 27th of May 2012 I didn’t ever imagine that I’d go to 50 shows, never mind my current total of 102. My original intention was to go and see the band, have a few drinks, have a bit of a laugh, maybe get my ticket signed if I was lucky, and hopefully see them again on another tour. That… was kind of what happened. I just got sort of carried away.
I’ve been following FVK for four years now, and I’ve been writing this shit down since September 2014, so be prepared to read a lot of “I don’t remember what happened next” and “I think this is what happened” moments. I’ve put in everything I can remember and I’ve gone back and added things that I’ve forgotten but I have been blind fucking drunk at some of these gigs and so it’s a miracle I’ve been able to remember my own face at the end of the night.

EDIT: Obviously I wrote this before the news broke that the band were no more. I’m not changing this intro because I fully intend to continue to follow wherever the remaining members of FVK go from here, it just won’t count towards my FVK gig total. Starting over it is.
